Amsterdam – This morning, the festive kick-off of De Natuurweetjes-bus took place at ARTIS | Natura Artis Magistra – a joint initiative of ARTIS, Uber, the Jeugdeducatiefonds and the Royal Oostenrijk Group. This special project gives 6,000 primary school children the chance to experience nature up close.
At a time when not all children have easy access to learning experiences outside school, De Natuurweetjes-bus brings children from all over the Netherlands to ARTIS for an inspiring and educational day. During their visit, they learn about biodiversity, ecosystems and the importance of nature conservation in a playful way.
As the regular transport partner, the Royal Oostenrijk Group takes care of the safe, comfortable and sustainable transport of the participating schools. “We are proud that our experience in group transport allows us to contribute to this valuable initiative,” the organisation says. “Together we make sure that experiencing nature becomes accessible to every child.”
