Progress is being made: in 1924, Oostenrijk travels to England to purchase two new buses.
Oostenrijk starts to carry (foreign) tourists to and from the Keukenhof. In the early 1980s, the famous botanical garden north-west of Lisse is already attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world.
Oostenrijk turns 75. Three generations of the Staal family are now sending tourbuses throughout Europe. Manou, daughter of director Cees Staal, is the youngest of the three generations to sit behind the proverbial steering wheel at Oostenrijk Touringcars. The 75th anniversary is celebrated with a reception for public relations and a grand party for the staff.
